Security and support access

Two settings under Organization, Settings decide something about your organization as a whole rather than about one person: how strictly people log in, and who can talk to us.

Requiring two-factor authentication

Two-factor authentication means a password or login link is not enough on its own. On top of it, someone confirms with a code from an authenticator app, or a text message to their phone.

Individually, anyone can switch this on in their own settings. Require MFA for all members makes it required for your whole organization. From that moment, anyone who logs in without two-factor set up is asked to set it up before they can carry on, including administrators and including you.

That is a real improvement for an organization that trains people on anything sensitive.

Info

Someone who belongs to more than one organization is covered by the strictest rule they are subject to. If any of their organizations requires two-factor authentication, they will be asked to set it up, and it then applies wherever they log in.

The Zunderwork support chat

The Support button in the account menu opens a chat with our team. We help with the platform: how something works, something that appears broken, a question about your plan, or feedback about a feature. We can advice how to build your courses, but cannot help with the content itself, since that is yours.

By default only managers, administrators and owners see that button. Allow all members to use the support chat opens it to everyone in your organization.

The way you set it is a question about your own support model.

  • Leave it off if you would rather be the first line yourself. Your learners come to you, you come to us, and you keep sight of what people are struggling with.
  • Turn it on if you would rather not sit in the middle of every browser problem and errors on the platform. We will only help with platform issues, we will not answer any questions about your courses, settings or organization.

Proving who you are when you contact us

Separately from the chat setting, everyone has a Security token in their own account Settings, Security. It generates a single-use code, valid for thirty minutes, that confirms to us that you are who you say you are.

You can use this when you are on the phone with us.
